NZRWC is HERE.
And what a sight to see NZ perform their Haka at the first game against Tonga.
Argentina will have thought the English were for the taking and the Welsh should have won against the Bokkies
WEEK 2:
Some good spirited games and Georgia stand out as alleged minnows giving as good as they get.
And are we repeating last world cup behaviour as Aussies appeared almost over confident in the backs and a team that was not prepared to sustain pressure near the Irish line
but go for fancy tries.
What are the odds for the Irish to win NZRWC.
Bokkies are improving and France look the most disciplined I have seen them in years.
This world cup is looking good for the punter as there are more upsets to come
WEEK 3:
Australia start nervously against USA but after a while the backs show there stuff and an easy win.
Cooper enjoyed himself, not sure about Genia the grump and he is also getting slower with getting the ball out.
Late injury to Anthony Faingaa wasn't as serious as it looked thank goodness but does this mean Giteau who should have got a jersey might be called up.
Well the build up to the NZ France game far exceeded the contest. Though the French started well there was a definite foot off the pedal by the French after a couple of tries by
NZ. Didn't think it was possible in rugby with the physical side but it reminded me of atheletes in heats not giving it their all and saving themselves for the final. Anyway not much
to be learnt from that exchange except France have plenty left in the tank.
Scotland v Argentina was a cracker and in my opinion deserved the win even though the Scots also played well.
With Scotland to play England in the final pool game what are the odds for England not making it through to the quarters.
WEEK 4
So England scrape through against Scotland and we are set for Ireland - Wales, Aus-SA, Eng-Fra, NZ-Arg.
WEEK 5
England deservedly were knocked out by the French, Aussies were fortunate to beat SA, NZ accounted for the Argies and Wales were superior to Ireland.
WEEK 6
After just seeing the Welsh lose to France I feel as Warren Gatland feels-Gutted. What a wonderful side, so far the most relentless in attack and defense, probably the most
exciting and to lose an uphill struggle after the sending off of their captain was a tragedy for rugby. Wales against either Aus or NZ would have been something to look forward
to now I feel we have a second rate team in the final.
In my view though we will never know but a big contributory factor to the Australian loss against New Zealand came at kick off. Kicking the ball out on the full gave the Kiwis
free momentum and they scored not long after. It was also painfully apparent that without Kurtley Beale our backs did not have the confidence in running and high balls were
often missed.
In the end it was a demolition and only bad weather, nerves and Kiwi injuries will give France a chance next Sunday.
Do I hear 20-1 stranger things have happened.
WEEK 7
The Aus - Wales third place play off ended in a win for Australia in which the individual performance of Berrick Barnes was the difference.
Wales didn't show as much urgency as the game against France and Australia wanted it more.
NZ-France final was a fiiting end to the World Cup with both teams giving everything. The French will go away thinking they had the momentum in the last 20 minutes but a
desperate NZ held on for a deserved win .

Excitement builds as Australia win a deserving Tri nations with a powerful no nonsense display against New Zealand. The first half will give the Aussie's now the belief that the Kiwi's are not untouchable. Second half wasn't the best but a ground out victory in the end.
England will also go into the World Cup thinking they have a chance after being superior to Ireland.
I will endeavour to add bits of trivia and points of interest that I hope will add to the Rugby World Cup experience.

Point of Interest: The Twickenham site was originally used as a cabbage patch in 1907 when it was purchased by the RFU for just over £5,500. This would explain
the name given to the nearby Cabbage Patch pub just down the road from Twickenham railway station. Cabbage to that and don't forget to eat your spinach.
Thanks to the ladies below for the photos of themselves wearing the earrings.
